What not to say to a candidate who lost …

1. Better luck next time …(reminds loser of the debts he have to settle and money spent before even contemplating the “next time”)
2. This may not be your time…(not to be said especially when candidate is past sixty years old).

3. By the way, you still owe me money…(waaaaaaahhhhh!)

4. That’s life! (uhmm, and that’s supposed to make him feel better????)

5. You almost made it! Given a few more days, you probably would have won …(almost? probably? aaaarrrrghhhhh!)

What to say to a losing candidate…

1. They cheated!

2. So many of your supporters couldn’t find their precincts. Sabotage!
3. Comelec bungled the job!

4. You ran a decent, respectable campaign while THEY CHEATED!

5. This is not your fault. You did your best given the lack of resources. You’ll rise above this a stronger person. We will continue to support and believe in you. We will be baaaaaccckkkk!

To all those who lost in the May 14 polls – thank you for giving us a choice. Thank you for wanting to serve the people within a legitimate political framework and by courting our votes. Thank you for not giving up on the system even when so many others have done so. And yes. Better luck in 2010!

Hay! Pilipinas nga naman….

nacover mo yata lahat ng masasabi o hinde. Ito naman ang sa akin para doon sa natalo na talaga namang mahusay ang layunin: mga pre o mare, as the case may be, have a better plan next time, and execute, execute, execute! Huwag masyadong idealistic. Kapag binato ka, batuhin mo rin! Huwag mong ibigay ang kabila mong pisngi, suntok ang aabutin mo niyan. Unahan mo na!

    Yun lang…

i happen to know a lot of “losers” who really deserved to win..i honestly thought this year’s election would be different, that a lot of voters have already matured and really spent time contemplating who they should vote for.

alas, even if the candidate was clearly someone not worth of one’s trust anymore – its a shock (not even a mircacle) that they still win :-(

but kudos to those whose hearts are really into serving the people, through a good, kind, honest and fair leadership. even if they lost.

    waaahh, sayang pa rin ;p

Nice one Toots. Not all my candidates are doing well. The Kapitaran would have made a difference. As for those who would make it, I hope to see a more courageous senate. As for the lower house, accountability is all I ask for.

But the power of the pork might play a spoiler’s role again.
