While we were sleeping, the House of Scoundrels were busy at work – like mischievous elves out to destroy the Constitution.

I heard Brother Mike Velarde this morning on Anthony Taberna’s radio program. He said he will fight Con-Ass and that the people should speak up and — support the President — who he thinks is being held hostage by members of Congress.

Yes, let’s speak out against Con-Ass. But – it is our right to demand that the President stop all of this foolishness. It is her duty – she swore to it — to uphold the Constitution at all times.

Changing the rules to enable a fastbreak Cha-cha, in the middle of the night, without the people’s knowledge and permission, and despite an ongoing calamity in Bicol and Marinduque where thousands died and are missing – is a clear betrayal of the people’s trust.

Shame on you, President Arroyo. Shame on you, members of Congress. Shame on all of you who conspire to bend the rules, change the Charter, ruin our Christmas and steal our right to vote — while we were sleeping.
