Will Ramiel be voted off Am Idol?

I hope that Ramiel stays though she would have been better off choosing Syesha’s song.

Ramiel Malubay failed to impress the three judges once again with a so-so performance of a Dolly Parton song. This week’s theme is country music which may account for the lackluster performances of the younger contestants. David Archuleta did redeem himself before the judges but I found his performance to be somewhat predictable. David Cook’s arrangement made his song interesting. Cook is now in sickbay, having been brought to a hospital the same night of his performance reportedly for blood pressure problems. Honestly, I haven’t found any of last night’s performances particularly impressive or memorable. I kinda miss the likes of Melinda Doolittle and Bo Bice – they may be older but certainly they make AI entertaining and interesting.
Anyway, I hope the Pinoy’s voting and texting power would be enough to save Ramiel for another week. Seriously, however, I doubt that this will happen. She has to be as smart and competitive as the others in choosing a song. Paula already advised her to stick to ballads. Ramiel also has to dress better. Simon Cowell dissed Carly last night for her wardrobe. Ms. Malubay may court the same embarrassing comment unless she changes her style, from schoolgirl to star-in-the-making. Good luck, Ramiel!
